During an early morning walk, you travel through hardwood forests, and pass by creeks and fields in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. Experience an amazingly rich, vibrant chorus of Southern birds. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Indigo Buntings, Crow, Carolina Wren, Cuckoo, Common Yellowthroat, Red and White-eyed Vireos, woodpeckers, and Hooded, Magnolia, Bay Breasted, and Yellow-throated Warblers are heard.

Enjoy a morning stroll through the beautiful hill country of Texas. Traveling through fields of wildflowers, Mourning Doves coo, Turkeys gobble, and Bobwhites whistle. Mockingbirds are ever present as Cardinals and White-eyed vireos sing along the trail. Many other birds and frogs can be heard during the walk.

Journey through the unique, granite up-rise of the Whichita Mountains in Oklahoma. In this diverse Plains habitat, Robin, Woodpeckers, Titmice, Phoebe, and Great-crested Flycatchers are common in the wooded sections. Indigo Buntings, Mourning Doves, and Eastern Meadowlarks are heard in the open fields, as gentle winds stir the air. Cricket Frogs are heard near water. Listen for a deer huffing as it runs away, and the call of a lone Canyon Wren from the nearby rocks.
