Southern Trails

Listen to a dynamic and exciting new dimension in nature recording. As you listen, many new sounds will be heard over time as environments change, just like you were walking. Experience an entire forest of birds instead of just a stationary recording. Proprietary techniques were used to record the sounds of actual nature walks without footfalls, music, or narration. Relax to Spring bird songs as you travel along trails in Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. Hear vibrant choruses of warblers, vireos, Indigo Buntings, Cardinals, Doves, Turkeys, Bobwhites, Mockingbirds, Cuckoos, Carolina Wrens, woodpeckers, Crow, and many more in these life-like nature recordings.

Extended Sample from the Tabor Mountian track:

Track List:

Tabor Mountain: 27:11 min.

During an early morning walk, you travel through hardwood forests, and pass by creeks and fields in the Ouachita Mountains of Arkansas. Experience an amazingly rich, vibrant chorus of Southern birds. Blue-gray Gnatcatchers, Indigo Buntings, Crow, Carolina Wren, Cuckoo, Common Yellowthroat, Red and White-eyed Vireos, woodpeckers, and Hooded, Magnolia, Bay Breasted, and Yellow-throated Warblers are heard.

Texas Hills: 19:16 min.

Enjoy a morning stroll through the beautiful hill country of Texas. Traveling through fields of wildflowers, Mourning Doves coo, Turkeys gobble, and Bobwhites whistle. Mockingbirds are ever present as Cardinals and White-eyed vireos sing along the trail. Many other birds and frogs can be heard during the walk.

Wichita Mountains: 23:53 min.

Journey through the unique, granite up-rise of the Whichita Mountains in Oklahoma. In this diverse Plains habitat, Robin, Woodpeckers, Titmice, Phoebe, and Great-crested Flycatchers are common in the wooded sections. Indigo Buntings, Mourning Doves, and Eastern Meadowlarks are heard in the open fields, as gentle winds stir the air. Cricket Frogs are heard near water. Listen for a deer huffing as it runs away, and the call of a lone Canyon Wren from the nearby rocks.

Total Run Time: 67:20 min.
